Fishkeepa
I Finally got some pictures of my tank and its inhabitants. It is all asian both the plants and fish. When i set this up i didnt have a job as exams were comming up and being short on cash used pumice in the filter a big mistake as all the plants i brought got covered in algae and the glass used to get dirty quickly. Since the plants have grown back and the algae is pretty much under control. I still get Black beards algae growing but the flourish is helping cut it back. The tank is a 90 x 30 x 38 LWH (100L) which i brought off trademe for 90 bucks which came with a hood and light fitting. The filter is a second hand Fluval 204 also from Trademe The substrate is fine gravel from the beach I have JBL balls under the crypt and Sword and use Leaf Grow and Flourish excell weekly The hardscape materials are a large rock and driftwood from otaki Forks and other rock from the beach The plants are: A Borneo sword which i thought was dead until it sprouted new leaves Ambulia Crytocoryne which has sprouted numerous babies (can some one help me identify it you can see the babies in the picture of the wood and moss) Hygrophilia Polysperma Java Moss Java Fern Hairgrass Lots of Indian Fern The Stock is: 1 Red Betta 2 Glass Catfish 3 Dwarf Gouramis 4 Kulhi Loaches 1 Golden Algae Eater 8 Harlequins Rasboras An Overview of the Tank The Siamese algae eater which is great at clearing up the excess algae The new Growth comming through on the polysperma The Borneo Sword which i though was dead The larger glass catfish A kuhli in the indian Fern A blurry picture of a dwarf gourami The java moss which sits between the rock and the large peice of wood Another Dwarf Gourami Its still a work in progress the polysperma and the ambulia need to grow higher before i can take the backing paper ($2 from the warehouse). Any suggestions welcome :bounce:
antwan
Nice tank man, your "siamese algae eater" is a golden algae eater. Just watch it, they can sometimes suck onto fish.

Heard that was wide bodied fish most mine are all small and quick the only thing it could cling onto would be the betta.
