farmchick
.........of MTS I have sold one of my 3 ft tanks, will sell the other soon and I am going to use the 2 ft as a sump for my 8ft !!!!!!! 8) 8) 8) that I bought myself over xmas. So now, my sister has her 8 1/2 ftr running with all the really big cichlids and I can get more Malawis to stock my wee tank By the way, thanks again to Ryanjury who kindly did all the bracing on the 8 1/2 footer before disappearing to Bulls. Will put photos up soon of the 8 1/2 ft one as soon as I find the USB cable for the camera
farmchick
Dats awesome Farmchick, congrats! Ya going to the BTS now, not MTS! "Thats it .... come to the 'other side' like the rest of ussssssssss"   I have felt the pull from the "other side" for a while now and finally relented to the power. I realised it was pointless fighting it and wasting all that energy   One question though, I have grown quite attached to my 2 little Khuli loaches and Im not sure if they would go well with my Malawis? Everyone else out of the 3 footers have new homes to go to except for these little blighters.

peanuts
but then again they have been with the malawis already so could be alright. until a mate talked us into giving him our loaches we had two living in with our malawis and they wheren't bothered at all. farmchick
Nah, the loaches have been in one of the 3fters with some bristles, kribs and rams but its their tank thats been sold. The only other place for them now is a wee 21 litre number that I had been using for randy guppies or the monster tank with the BIG cichlids in it. Yeh, its fantastic, bracing is great, stand is okay, could do with some supports in a few places and he gave me enough gravel to do 2 x 8ft tanks The one you braced for us is holding up as well, my sister put alll her beasties in there on the weekend so it is now home to: 4 x plecostamus (sp?) 2 x clown loaches (including the 30cm one that you wanted Ryan) 2 x jags 2 x brasilliensis 2 x ugly red and black cichlids (have no idea what they are) 1 x featherfin synadontis 2 x jewels 1 x ghost knife 3 x parrots Mine is going to be malawis and bristles!! Where on earth are you going to put all your critters? It was a farily substantial list that moved to Bulls already!! Hows the puppy? No Sharn, no dividers. Personally, I think it would be great if some of them did have a tiff and she got discouraged, sold the lot and then I could have 2 huge malawi tanks!!!   Surprisingly, they all get along really well. Both Jags are girls, the clown loach is the 2nd biggest in the tank and the pleco pretty much rules everybody else. The only one that looks to be on his way out is the Synodontis. Hes a right pain in the posterior. She may be looking at swapping him for another loach.

WOW The Jury Zoo certainly sounds like a place to visit alright. How bigs ya back lawn Ryan? We often go through Bulls for the horse competitions. It could be a great stop off point. Just depends on whether your back yard could cope with our travelling zoo? At least 4 horses and the accompanying dogs!!!! Will keep in touch re the malawi tank. farmchick
Any chance of some pix of the fishies? I would watch out for the Parrots, Jags and Jewels, especially wif the Ghost Knife! Yeh, the parrots are just daft really, the jags spend the entire day chasing each other up and down the tank and the jewels are the littlest in the tank and pretty much keep to themselves. The ghost knife has a personality very similar to the Goofy character, as in, doesnt really know that what hes doing is quite stupid. Things like, trying to keep up with the jags during their daily exercise routine and cuddling up to the clowns (he wedges himself in between them at nap time) but the all time classic is taking food directly from the parrots mouths, well trying to anyway!!!
