cat
Great news! You will soon be the 'step mommy' to hundreds of babies. Hope you are getting prepared now. Thats a lot of nappies!!!
nztrudy
Well i come home tonight to find my pair of angels are swimming around and not looking after there eggs, so up i get to take a look and they have eaten all the eggs , what have i done wrong?, and why did they eat them, any help here would be great
Chris.L
maybe nothing. They might be young and inexperienced. Leave the eggs with them. They will eventually get what to do
nztrudy
They have breed before, i got these Angels of cat as well as the babies.
Pegasus
They "may" not have eaten them, but just moved them to a more favourable spot... which they occasionally do, sometimes several times.
nztrudy
i better go and have another look, thanks
cat
I forgot to tell you that they DO move the eggs around! Sorry. Then they swim around, whistling away, looking the other way as if they dont know anything about any eggs. They can put them in the stupidist places like the top of uplift tubes or actually on the filter sponge! Hopefully they have just moved them and not eaten any as I havent known them to eat them ever.
nztrudy
Well i turned that tank upside down and still no eggs to be found , Maybe better luck next time
Caryl
Check the floor then. Hasn't anyone told you that turning the tank upside down is not a good idea!?
Pegasus
I wouldn't be 'too' concerned Trudy, They will breed again in ten days or so if the conditions are favourable and they are in good condition. Your major prob will then be "stopping" them breeding once they get the ball rolling he he.
