Foxglove
I found my first new arrivals in the pond today! I'm reasonably sure they are baby white clouds :bounce: :bounce: The pond (2 x 2m) has only white clouds in it - I started with 12, but not sure if they all survived the initial transition and subsequent rain. However, as I was admiring my first waterlily bloom I noticed these tiny things that moved differently to the mossie larvae that are also there... they are black from the top, but have a bulbous head area. Too small (3-5 mm?) to notice eyes or colour. Yay! it's so exciting!! :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:
Caryl
Sounds promising. Shine a torch down on them from above. Their eyes will reflect in the torchlight.
Foxglove
Thanks. They definitely are wcmms. Yay. Will there be enough food in the pond naturally or should I supplement? It has mosquito larvae as well as plants with a small amount of algae.
Alan
There's prolly more food in the pond environment than in an aquarium. Go for it, they are a good money spinner apparently. Alan
