Bubbles
I just ran out of my Red Sea Coral Trace. Deliberating whether it's worth replacing. Thought I'd get a show of hands of who doses trace elements, and if so what brand?

cookie extreme
nein no no dose no trace elements i would almost agree, but if trace elements are depleted in the way as for an example calcium then a simple water change would not bring it back to natural seawater levels (if you use NSW) so the question is why not dose it in small amounts? tel i didn't know that were are a "kraut" too
wasp
Yes I do but only because it is recommended as part of the zeovit system I use. If I was not using zeovit I would not bother, there are some stunning tanks to be seen on other internet forums that dose nothing other than the basic calcium alkalinity and magnesium. The rest is done by water changes and presumably fish food adds some to the tank.
puttputt
CE, you didn't say if you use trace elements or not??

petplanet
No. The small bottle sizes are just not worth it in large systems. Was using JBL 1,2,3 for awhile when I only had the 280 litre tank.
cookie extreme
The rest is done by water changes in reallity that's not possible ich glaube Gebrauch Herrn cookie keine Spurenelemente god what african country did you emerge from? no offence CE, you didn't say if you use trace elements or not well i bought a pack of prodibio from seame.com which had trace in it. i did not not use it in the first few weeks but started about 2 months ago, have to admit i can not see any difference but that could be just me looking at the tank every day

After my 40litre weekly water change i add soft trace hard trace reef roids idoine strotium seachem calicum (includes magnesium, and strotoum) baking soda (My hard sps's seem to like this weekly drug intake, and are growing well under my 150 metal halide, and even week at the moment my mushrooms split)
