wasp
IKS is reputed to be excellent, but I'm not particularly impressed with my one. The other one I've got I prefer, comes out of a washing machine.
RnB
is that the detergent pump from an industrial washing machine?
wasp
Yes. A rugged good performer. This particular one not adjustable though although some are. The brand is Seko, there is an agent in NZ.
RnB
how much are they wasp? I could control it via an IKS socket if its 240V what flow rate is it? I am 100% sure the IKS is an OEM pump..... found them on AP's website wasp, looking good to go....
wasp
Got mine 2nd hand so not quite sure of the price. You will be able to control them with an IKS controller. I controll mine with a timer, it goes on 12 seconds, off 7 minutes. They are designed for multiple on / off cycles, I checked with the agent. Been going a long time now, no issues. puttputt
don't worry steve, I'll stick to the aquamedic. Like the fact the are rated to run 24/7 as I'm planning to use 1 for my Ca reactor - take away the need to reset every few days.

Pies
I've had 3x IKS pumps, 0/10 none are in working order. Been running an Aquamedic one for about 2.5 years now, still going. It comes with a spare tube too, but i've not used this yet. Mine runs for 12hrs a day. The one I have isn't variable speed, but works great for freshwater top off.
