quack
hey, over the last week i noticed that one of my yellows had a bit large throat area. so just before i read up on how to strip them. to a great surprise she had 10 large babys swim out of her mouth it was a bit of an effort to get them out but we got there. we left the babys in a breading trap in the main tank. Im just wondering what i should feed them. would micro worms or brine shrimp be good or just crushed flake? the female is extremely stressed at it was our first time stripping and her first lot of babys. any advice on raising them would be appreciated!! evilknieval69
Brine shrimp and micro worms are both the perfect food for them. A little bit of crushed up flake would be good too. Well done
Caryl
You mean electric yellow Malawi cichlids? Mine just got spirulina flakes like the adults. I would expect micro worms to be too small and my cichlids didn't like brine shrimps.
Johannes Visser
Crushed up spirulina flakes & Brine shrimp flakes are good to feed to small fish.

herefishiefishie
Baby brine, crushed flake, cyclops..... Just one thing, make sure the adults can't get at the fry through the breeder trap. Been there down that before Frenchy
