K R Brown
our fish have a couple of little whitespots on the tails and nose wondering if it could be the start of whitespot?? what treatments would be best??
TimTam22
you can pick up white spot treatment from your lfs, bumb up the temp a bit depending on what fish you have and remember after the cysts drop off to do a good gravel vac or 3. what size tank and what type of fish are in there. white spot is usually caused by stress so you will need to find out what caused it too. I currently too have white spot on a couple plattys, we did a tank move and then the tank did a mini cycle after and i ran out of stress coat so lost a couple fishies from my carelessness (sp?) Oscar
Currently using Blue Circle Whitespot Cure and it says 2drpos per litre which seems like heaps for a 120ltr tank? Also is there an easier way to measure it?
ryanjury
Yeah the dosage is correct it is alot of drops.. Remember to reduce the dosing rate if catfish are involved.. An easier way to do it is to count drops into a test tube with ml graduations work out how many drops per ml and then dose it by mls..
