dogmatix
The large Squamosa clam in the reef was spawning for about 3 hours should be interesting to see the mess tomorrow
Bubbles
Cool. Any video footage or photos? I thought clams needed a pristine environment before they spawned

TM
keep a close eye on it. Sometimes clams spawn just before they die.
dogmatix
Yeah it got munched on by a couple of blue throat triggers but hopeforlly it ill make it. I took the camera in but it was only a little merky so i didnt bother cuz it was nothing in comparison to the mess during the spawn

TM
When they say reef safe i don't think they mean clams shrimp etc. Mt trigger has never caused any problems
JoeBlog
My blue throat has not even looked twice at my cleaner shrimp, but the chromis and anthia are/were running scared. So far, he has consumed four chromis and one anthia. This basically happend in the first 48 hours and I hadn't noticed the other fish missing right away. The half eaten anthia is what gave me my first clue. The remaining small sized fish have wised up to his presence and are quick to run for cover! I don't expect to have any more losses. lduncan
 you too? My crosshatch trigger has demolished some smaller fish too. Ate the chromis about 30 seconds after adding him to the tank! I guess when they're hungry, they need to be fed
TM
wish mine would eat my chromis
JoeBlog
just wait till it gets a little bigger. Those chromis won't be swimming as freely/openly as they are now!!
