I was just passing through - found this wonderful site and wondered in conjunction with is the Waikato Aquarium Society still active -

Are there any avid breeders in Hamilton? Do you specialize in any species?

Would love to meet other fish people....

Join some of us fish ppl tonight in the chat room at 9pm...........ish LOL would love to meet you and their are plenty of chairs. My favourite fish are the discus and their tank companions the tetras. followed by the bristle nose catfish and ............................

Hamilton is very active I understand. Rob is a regular here and he is a member. Send him a PM. They are organising a Molly Hunt at the moment.

Rob is also the National Breeding Coordinator. You should join the Hamilton club, they're a great bunch.

There a few hobbyist breeders in the waikato club, no one really specialises though.

Currently I'm growing on whiptails, brazilian butterfly plecos, Norman's lampeyes, Agassizi dwarf cichlids, sheephead acaras and the checkerboard cichlids spawned a couple of days ago.

If you are intrested in the molly hunt i am sure i can arage it .

I also have bred a few fish currently trying to breed a few killis and drawf cockatoo chilids.

I am new to here to, and went to my first club meeting in Nov. Had heaps of fun, met lots of waikato fishie people, and earnt HEAPS.

I to would love to meet other fish people around, and check out there setups......... :lol:

Can anyone tell me how to find out info on the Hamilton club.

I can tell you all about it mate. We meet the first sunday of every month at Link house, bottom of Te Aroha street. Rob is the president. If you want an more info PM me. )

You will be most welcome to come along to our meetings to see what it is like .

I have been a member for a few years and have found it really benefical meeting others in the hobby and sharing ideas etc.

Next club meeting we have someone coming in and talking about line breeding guppys so it will be very interesting.
