TimTam22
did you do a water change after you noticed them dieing? then treat with whitespot treatment as that might be what you have neons get it easy when they are stressed - anything that may be stressing them out? peanuts
are the neons in the same tank with your angels? depending on the size of your angels - these could seen/have seen your neons as supper.
nicmack
Thanks I have traded my angels back as they got too large too quickly and seem to be quite aggressive they didn't seem to be attacking the neons but yes that might of been an issue, I didn't do a water change prior to treating the whitespot I will do one tonight I just didn't want to stress any of the others out anymore with the water change.... nicmack
the neons didn't appear to have any white spots on them but perhaps that may be due to their size and not being able to see it that readily?
TimTam22
they don't usually show there colours as bright if they have white spot but I have never had so many fish die at once so I'm not to sure - I would do the water change and then treat and then just keep an eye on them - Good luck

sharn
alot of neons are imported overseas from mass bred farms and come in in not so great health which is why many of them die quickly. how long had you had them for? water changes will not stress your fish at all if the temp change isnt too drastic (even though cold water changes are used to help breed fish sometimes, with problems present its best to try and keep things even) and it is dechlorinated. also check your tap and tank waters ph to see if they are drastically different. white spot is pretty easy to treat when it is in its early stages. make sure to siphon the gravel well each w/c as this is where the unhatched cysts lie. upping the temp will increase the lifecycle and elimination times. make sure to keep your treatment up for at least one week after the last spot is seen to make sure unhatched cysts dont open up and re-infect your tank. if using meds like whitespot cure etc be careful with dosing when plecos, clown loaches etc (sensitive fish) are in the tank, normally a half dose is used with them, some people find their fish are fine with full doses but some dont go so well
