suphew Posted October 5, 2006 Report Share Posted October 5, 2006 Mine sits on about 8.0 while the lights are off, and 8.3 when they are on. I don't maintain the level as such, you maintain your KH level this buffers the PH and keeps it right. Easiest way to do this is to dose kalk with the topup water. If you have high KH/Ca requirements (i.e. keep hard corals) the you might need to look at either a calcium reactor or two part dosing Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Fay Posted October 5, 2006 Report Share Posted October 5, 2006 I just keep my KH up to as near to 12 as possible, it drops down to about 8 over a couple of days and I dose with baking soda.
