farmchick
Hi all What would you recommend as being an okay size to start rehoming bristlenose babies? I have roughly 20 of them all around the 2cm mark. I dont want to rehome them to bigger tanks and find they are just going to become lunch for someone I also have about a million guppies, mollies and swords all about 2.5cm. Well maybe not that many buts still heaps. I dont think they will fit in the mouths of your average community fish but are they big enough to move on? MarkLB
Hi. I've rehomed Bristlenoses that were 2cm. If the bubs can't fit into a tankmates mouth then they should be safe. Also , they are great at hiding in and under things and can make themselves very hard to find for a would be predator.
Caryl
2cm is certainly the smallest I would move them. Bristlenose fry don't seem to like being moved when they are smaller.
Tanksman
I agree with Caryl. I struggle to get 2cm Bubba B/noses to move between tanks let alone selling them as some do. Once they are around 3cm they are much hardier and you also notice them pick up in growth.
