Alan
A new shipment of killies have just landed at Frans', Livingwaters, at Palmers, Tauranga. New Australe bloodline for our breeders. Aphyosemion ameitei, a beautiful rarity, once upon-a-time, seen and bred in NZ. I believe these are the only ones in NZ at the moment. Fundulupanchax gardneri, a spetacular fish, or should I say specie. Haven't seen this colour type in NZ before. Will have to do some research and see if I/we can place it. The cost, do you really want to know? Well they were not the cheapest killies I have bought. I bought ONE male australe, for new bloodline to put over the ones I have at the moment, $28. Yep! OUCH!! I also got a pair of ameitei, $26.50 each, that totals $53 for the pair. I've NEVER paid this for killies, and also most other fish mind you, but if ya want them, you pay for them. Erling bought a pair of the gardneri, haven't spoken to him yet, but hope to be able to do some wife swapping, umm, fish swapping. Then we will have these in at least two different places at the same time for safeties sake, until we can get into the NZKA with the expected babies. I also picked up a pair (I hope) of "Red Badis", $30 a pair. HE HE HE! Rose is away, and I've just blown $100 on 5 fish. Who said I was giving up

ej
Alan has been in touch with me and Andrew this morning, and is now the proud owner of A. gardneri (And Rose does know!) Thank Bruce for those links
Alan
Well Rose got back from Tauranga with a big smile on her face, and announced that Frans had sold out of the Gardneri. So I'm not the proud owner of that species, and will have to rely on a swap arrangement with Erling. From what Ihave seen. I think they are Aphyosemeion gardneri nigerianum (near enuff spp) Frans has sold out of them, shame we didn't have an info sheet advertising us, and how to care, and breed them. He's hoping to get in more of them later this week. Keep in touch with him Andrew, and let me know how you get on. Goodluck. You're welcome to call in on the B.o.P part of the NZKA when you are up, if you have time.

We'll be visiting Living Waters on Sunday morning of next weekend and will report back after that. Frans is holding some of the new fish for the NZKA. Andrew.
