Now i`m told there are loads of em, all different.. My tank is 30x15x12 Are they ok with Corys? Are they territorial, set up settled, year old.. Are there any specific requirements... dimebag
na go for the whiptail they are peaceful and easy to care for. however depending on what type of whip it is it may not eat algae. i have 4 different species of whiptail in with my discus, but only 2 of them eat algae, the farlowella acus(twig catfish) and the royal whip(sturisoma panamense?) the rineloricaria i must say i have never seen eating algae, seen to enjoy colorbits and bloodworms tho hope this helps

ljtan55
Go for the whiptails! They're awesome! I've got 2 rhineloricaria whips with 5 cories, no problems whatsoever, they eat everythin and anythin, and they're good bottom cleaners too. But if you want to eat algae go for the bristlenose, cos I've never seen mine ever suck on the glass...
northland chic
I have 5 that I bought from Rob a couple of years ago, don't know what kind they are. Mine live with 5 corys and 2 bristlenoses and they're great they ignore them and just scrap amongst themselves. They seem to eat anything I drop in don't really see them eating algae though now I think about it. About 2 weeks ago I noticed my male hiding the ship ornament over a few green eggs. He didn't come out for about 8ish days, I found one dead baby but that was it. Since then he has had a huge one in there with him for over a day and it looks like hes still in there. I can see a tail and fin moving in there but thats it. I so badly want to look. I think I only have one male out of 5, is that alright? Any advice would be great. Thanks NC
