  1. Had a look through there & none of them really resemble the little bugger. Will try and take better pictures of them tonight if I can. Cheers.
  2. Hey there. Nah, they are quite a bit longer, & have much longer feelers? They are very very shy. Eyes are similar however Have a dark top and white belly. Cheers.
  3. I'm removing the larger fish in my tank & downsizing. I've had these two fish for over a year or so now and have forgotten their breed names. Can anyone help, they are the darker coloured fish - hard to get pictures of them because they are always hiding! http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing ... =196608851 Thanks!

    I'm back

Been gone from FNZAS for nearly 2 years, went overseas. Just got back into Fish again and was just wanting to know something about my Bala shark. Ever since I got him (young) he was very sociable & was always in view. Now he's about 4-5 months old he tends to hang in the shadow's. He's getting quite big also. Is this normal with them?as
  5. Yes, it will be a huge change. Epecially the roads. It takes 5 mins to get to work here, over there depending on where you are can take 30mins-1 hour
  6. Melbourne central Going from a population of around 130,000 to 4,000,000
  7. Hey again guys. I'm moving to Australia on the 15th and all my marine/fresh tanks are going to be for sale $1reserve on trademe. I could only imagine the effort of moving stuff over there, their dept. of agriculture and fish would have an absolute field day lol. So keep an eye out for some bargains
  8. Hey newtman, I got him from trademe but learned later that there are loads available local to myself. http://www.trademe.co.nz/structure/auct ... d=29551235
  9. I can't believe how much these guys eat.
  10. I had two who were in a cold tank. When I switched to tropical they were in the same tank, never had a problem with them being agressive towards other smaller fish, well not that I seen. Never had any drop in numbers either. I was also told by the shop that they are agressive so don't put anything like goldfish in with them, otherwise they would be smashed. All aside, I think if they start chomping and chasing other fish, remove them.
  11. To add: This may be a stupid question but are those cat eyes mating in the picture above. I seem to have about a hundred or so small ones and those are the only ones I have in the tank? Anyone know much about them?
  12. Yeah, very very sticky indeed. I've woken up a few times now to see an empty crayfish skeleton floating on the surface with a very pale looking cray at the bottom. That anenomie came with the crays about the size of a 2 dollar coin, now its nearly the size of a twenty dollar note. Does anyone have a name for him? The big dude is more than ready to eat now. But he's stayin alive lol. I'd rather release it than eat it, although more than happy to eat one in a restuarant. I bet he would taste good too cause he's well fed with top quality food as a pose to the rubbish they would eat in the sea as they are scavengers by nature.
  13. I think the cray's have grown in size since I got them. Pic also below is of a poor cat eye that has a mussel and an anenome on it lol, must be heavy for it Protein skimmer is workin overtime whenever I feed the crays and anenomie's mussels for some reason. Tank overall is good and crays are in excellent nick from what I can see. They love their food!!!
