  1. I have 3 they only get nippy with each other and the bolivian and gold rams (same tank). But mostly peaceful, they wont bother anything else unless they are spawning.

    Hope this helps.

  2. 3 days and two of the rotkiel severums have paired up already!

I had to remove the other two due to the pummeling they were taking from the new pair. fingers are now crossed for them to do the business :D

  3. Hi B&K

the rotkiels were not in the book but some other strains that I didnt know of are.

Ive hardly taken my face out of that book since I got it.

Severums (Besides oscars) are my favourite fish.

  4. No I bought the rotkeils

but patrick told me about the ancistrus

    Are they your ones?

I do quite a bit of business with patrick.

After paying through the nose for the rotkiels I couldnt afford the goldies as well.

Did you see the sevs in the bags?

  5. Thanks shae, his name is Elwood and the other slightly smaller one is jake however this name may have to be revised. :D

Jake gets picked on a bit and has a couple of missing scales but as yet elwood looks perfect.

Hummingbird that is the best black oscar I have seen alot more red than most.

Travis and vicki those oscars look great and will fill out in time.

Col I like that white tiger he looks a little mean.

  6. they will let you pet them if they are tame enough but you can damage them this way if you are not carefull.

    Mine are not aggressive .

they are reasonbly intellegent (compared to other fish that is  ) if not a little clumsey.

    They will eat almost anything.

Im starting another post to see how many types we have out there.

  7. Hi Caper,

according to my research these are "super reds" Someone please correct me if im wrong). they are more orange than red.

As they have got older the black around their fins has faded a bit, but they shouldnt lose the orange.

They are awesome fish to watch and they like attention to the point of lying down all depressed if they dont get any.

  8. Woohoo! thanks for the tip shae.

we hope they are a pair, this pic is about 2 months old.

They have been doing alot of digging, tail slapping etc but so far no eggs.
