no there are no parasites and it does not scrape itself.
is it possible that it is just tired? its body is about the size of a 20c peice but it has extremly long fins that it often looks as it is stugling to swim. is this a possibility?
hey Guys,
I have an angel fish that is really puzzling me and i cant tell if ther is something wrong with the fish or if it is crazy or just trying to just make me crazy.
for about 2 months now it had started to "play dead" from sitting upside down in plants to lying motionless on the bottom of the tank and acting contorted next to the filter. but as soon as i put a net or my hand into the tank it swims around with lots of life. its eating fine and plays with the others it just has these moods.
has anyone had this happen to them or have any advice?
Thanks
the angels looked too interested in them and daddy was getting rather stressed out by it all but the babys are doing really really well in the trap. is that wrong?
thanks guys and yes Dawn they are bristle nose eggs and the father is able to fan them under there you can see him quite clearly.
here is a photo of the eggs
i have my first breeding in my tank
i did a big water change on saturday nite and my bristle nose started digging and when we proped up the stone it showed there were rather large yellow eggs
i will post some photos soon

i have quite a few angels now but really want one like that with long fins hes just beautiful, a shame that you had to take him back thoe.
Yes i do,
i have 2 bristlnose, one called stubble and one called shadow (5 oclock shadow)
all the rest have names to so with their colouring like a back alngel is midnight etc

ooohhhhhhhh my babys growing up sooo fast.
he looks really happy thoe mystic he must love his new home.
the only way to catch him is with two nets and slowly move them in to catch him between them he is just so fast its impossible to do it with just one
