    Flushing fish

For what its worth. If the sewage treatment plants around the country are anything like the plant at Mangere, flushing fish down the loo shouldnt cause a problem. After spending 28 days in the digesters All waste is exposed to a massive dose of uv before it leaves the plant.
  6. You sure its only 394 lt ?
  7. Do you have lids on your tank? A cat perhaps ?
  8. No chance concrete dust getting into the tank? just a thought.
  9. Update "Cassius mongrelus" doing just fine & Lion hrad spawning are now now free swimming .
  10. No sorry that pic is the best i can do at the moment.
  11. Does anyone know the correct name for fish please?
  12. Just an update, Approx 60 eggs hatched after a double dose of meth blue treatment followed a couple of hours later with 50% water change & so far havent lost any fry. As this lot came from the "garden" pond i have a mixture of parents(comets, vieltails, lionheads, & calico orandas so they will be a grand ole mixture of breeds.
  13. I wont be registering them as most have succumbed , perhaps the next lot will do better.
  14. Thanks Not many lost so far time will tell.
  15. Thanks for the input, The eggs are in two tanks indoors with curtains drawn so very little light I will cover tanks & add meth blue as suggested & yes they will lay just about anywere, the walls of my pond are covered in eggs & a few patches on the bottom as well. Thanks again for your comments
  16. I have about 1000 gold fish eggs attached to clay pots, i have taken the pots out of the pond & placed them into indoor tanks. I used 50% pond water & have airation & one external filter fitted with a sponge filter. does anyone have any suggestions on further steps to be taken to prevent egg lose?
