awesome man, off to a good start
sometimes they can look white-ish so don't stress...but if they're bright white that's prob fungus
-
heya, yes i've got one but the O-ring needs replacing (getting a new one sorted now) I see someone overseas had the same issue. I got mine from deep blue and according to them it's superior to the aqua one: http://www.sella.co.nz/general/pets-ani ... rs/jh7d1d/ it's nice having the UV add-on

lol using the coke bottle as his watermark
nicley edged tank, looks very crisp and clear. nice looking layout plan too
-
-
you can use gravel too. from what i've observed having a substrate makes them much more comfortable
-
ahh! nice soft water here, should be perfect. try the peat, nothing to lose
-
yes he will
LOL!
snookie i read "At full grown size the males have somewhat more pointy genital papillae than the female and they are also known to grow a bit bigger."
can you see any difference? cheers!

yeah it's worth a shot. you're doing everything else right. where abouts are you?

wowww awesome tank my friend, love the middle 'trail' and it leading to a rock, gives the impression you could keep on going down that trail and find new things
-
that 3-in-1 diffuser/bubble counter/check valve looks pretty sweet
-
yea the safety test is every 5 years. i think it's better to own one and refill, it's not that much; then you can just use it when you want and not be worrying bout monthly charges
check out sheepsnana's products he's found here: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=59957

sounds good, new product huh? i also want to try the blue discus one, guessing it's from some kind of blueberry extract
-
awesome dude. i'm working on that currently notoriously hard to sex i've read, anything you can spot??
-
are they young/old? also what's your water like? if it's too hard for example it can prevent them from fertilising/hatching. temp?

i agree with henward bout the hikari, they seem to really really go for the taste of it and not spit it out. jbl novo bits are good too but they still prefer hikari. hollywood FF doesn't sell it anymore, weird. but it's on TM @ $19.50/80g.. very good deal because that x 10 = $195/800g

have you tested the water straight out of the tap
I have checked our tapwater and it has no detectable PO4 using the same test kit as above so does not appear to be the source.interesting one. try and check every variable on its own until you work it out. shouldn't be the sand etc but just try anyway

awesome. keep meaning to get in there! ronnie rules

Bleach. NOTHING works better than that
-
yea try it and see.. i've seen heaps of guppies in with a school of uaru and they're fine because the uaru can't catch them. don't last long if one dies tho..

reasoning behind your suggestion?
...if they're getting stressed by trying to protect them from other inhabitants. so do you mean they're now alone in the 100L tank? -
yup that's common especially if they're getting stressed by trying to protect them from other inhabitants. so do you mean they're now alone in the 100L tank? eventually they'll either not eat the eggs or you can protect the eggs from them with some stainless steel mesh. once they hatch they should realise their infanticidal mistakes of the past..

lookin good! nice to see it set up
Atman UF2400

The Atman Canister filter is made by the same factory that makes the AquaOne, however it is not the same as the AquaOne CF1200. This one is way newer, more powerful, and comes with push to prime. (The AquaOne CF series is an old Atman EF series)
Looking at the pics it looks like the aqua one has the exact same circular spot on the top where the UV bulb is in the atman but apparently it's not included??
