I clean mine in a bowl of tank water in the sink regularly I use a tooth brush and I think they like it Pies I got it in the eye too.

I haven't really exceeded the dose but if I up it a little things just don't seem right, just happy to stick to the 5ml twice daily helps the skimmer a lot.

What with the sand or Vodka?

Have you got phosphate remover installed. If it was me and you plan on putting the sand back in some time I wouldn't leave it out or you will have problems when you do put it back in. Just give it a good clean and put it back OR go BB for good. I have good results with vodka as long as you don't go past the recommended dose. HAVE FUN Look for to more pics

I am the same my brown with green tip monti is now fraged all over the tank :oops: Now I have got all puttputts little frags glued in I have to stay out of the tank. My worst time is cleaning the streams it's not easy because they are in those rock covers, and when I give the rocks a blow job got to be careful or I knock them with the powerhead :oops: Anyway glad it's not just me that does this
