  1. Yeah its a similar to seachem matrix and goes throw a very fine foam that is shaped like a egg carton as they provide more surface area then flat foam filters.Im always up for suggestions tho if you have any tips. Im always looking for better ways to improve my filtration. Bigger tank has sump witch works very well
  2. Thanks very good advice After Listning to all your comments I will be putting a order in of 16 demisoni,10 Electric Yellow, and 6 bumble bees... 32 fish does seem a for such a small tank but I will have I higher survival rate having it heavy stocked and my filtration turns the water over just under 20X per hour.. Also with the type of fish im keeping I will have loses so that number will drop. I do have a bigger tank that they could go in later down the line but Im hoping to use it for a tanganikan tank
  3. sory yeah it is 4ft long and spoke to a breeder and he sez i still need to go high numbers with the demis still as the 2 dont really interact even tho there from the same family.. bumble bees being twice the size of a demi isnt a prob 2 me as every demi ive had with defend against fish 3 times the size.. I will take a look at how meany bees i put in there tho
  4. I do water change 2 to 3 times a week and my filter is pumping around 4000litres per hour. I did a bit of research on it and got told the same with the demis... 10 to 12 to start with but as the bumble bees are in the same family group as the demis and are very aggressive as well i thought this might solve this problem? Normaly I found that if you flood the tank with very aggressive fish it tends to lower aggression. If you think different plz say
  5. I would be careful with adding peacocks as the demis and yellows are both going to give it a hard time. normaly if you add them you should put them in first so they have a size advantage at all times. the red tops can work well and the aruatus is a very aggressive cichlid so will go wel but your demis will target it lol Thats my experince anyways. demis make it hard to add new fish lol im going to try put bumble bee cichlids with mine
  6. So im setting up tank number 5 and like it sez in subject i want to mix 8 bumble bee cichlids,8 Electric yellows, and 8 demisoni. I would get all 24 as juvanils around the same size and would be putting them into a 215L tank that will have alote of rockwork hiding places... Please share your thoughts about this please! I would be putting all 24 at the same time
