dont no about up north, but here in ch ch i use water straight from the tap,add a bit of white spot cure after each water change, no probs after 2 years.

i've got 2 apple snails and they seem to do a good job, eat a few of the plants though.

what do all you lot on here use, me i use novo bel flakes, tetra tabs, tropical tucker, etc, but i also buy the cheaper flakes at a 1/4 of the price, i/e billy peach and tropicana i think its called.

when setting one of these up for new additions or medical do you use fresh water or water from the main tank. thanks martin.

had tank about 2.5 years, about60 gallons built into a wall so you get a view both sides. fish i have is 2 parrot fish, 2 clown loach, 2 bolivian rams, 6 angels, 1 plecy, 1 kuhli loach, 1 red tail shark, 1 silver shark, 2 orange tail loaches 10 headlights, 5 other fish forgot the names.and 1 apple snail, only lost about 3 fish in the last year. anyone else have these unusual fish in there tank, i have 2 in my community tank and have no probs, i have heard they round up smaller fish and kill them but mine are o.k.

hi all,what do you guys do when you have to put a sick fish down,most shops here in ch ch suggest the freezer other sites suggest severing the spinal cord or a blow to the head, whats your thoughts.
