Just checked the German power supply is the same as ours, 230V and 50Hz so should be fine. Just need a adaptor for the Euro plug.

and yeah....HFF cant beat price of oversea website.....the cheapest they can sell a 2075 is around $600.....

My blue rams have some eggs in a community tank.... so shall I go and buy a breading trap and put the leave with the eggs in it? At the moment I put a barrier in the tank to keep the eggs away from the big fish....but samll fish could still come around Anyone bread these before? Cheers

After some initial research and great help from people here, I kind of diceided the size of my new tank - around 300L. I need the tank to be reasonably good looking as it will be an important feature for our new house. I also want it to have a cover on the top. So, Juwel Rio 300 came up top of my list - nice looking, good German quality, and currently on special of around $1400 http://www.juwel-aquarium.de/en/Product ... 0000007300 I know that I really dont like the built-in internal filter, so I will take it out and sell it on trademe.. I am thinking of a FX5 or CF2700UV, which are both very good for this size tank and within budget ($600 max for filter) So far so good, looks like I nearly gear up. I went to the shop today, and found that the bl00dy Juwel cabinet is only 29.5cm wide, neither the FX5 nor the CF2700 will fit as they are about 33cm dia.......and the wife does not allow me to put the filter outside the cabinet.... Great........ So that left me with these options 1. Use a Eheim Pro 3 2075 instead, which cost $600+ =====> would it be enough for a 300L? (a 2080 will not fit also), anyone used it on similar size tank? 2. Buy other tanks come with larger cabinet - Anyone got any suggestions? - I found one Aqua One Aquience 1200 RT - which might fit the FX5 and CF2700 and HFF quote me $1400!! 406 is out so shops have 405on sale for $ 299. I am thinking of using it for 200l or 300l water(already deduct for substrate) Any comments please? A bit worry about if it is too strong for 200l or not enough for 300l? It has Max flow of 1300l/hr, circulation flow of 850l/hr, and it is rated for 400l max.

Yea it is only 41cm back to front.., the rio 300 is 51cm tho

Do u use tap or use some water storage then pump it into the tank? I use bucket at the moment so it takes me 10 buckets per water change......I can see it will be quite a mission for a 350l tank.....how long does it take u to do water change for ur 600l?

Oh dear.......I will try it in the shop then. I am just worry about I might have algea problems if I have the 2x54w on 8 hrs a day......

Not sure what I will have next....a bit hard to deceide..tank size, budget, filtration, substrate, how hard it is to maintain, how many and what type of fish....too many things to think about x_x I will prob ask you guys for suggestions :-P
