  1. A lot of the con emails and phone calls are being tracked but it can only be tracked to the country of origin. There are a lot of scams coming from Sierra Leone at the moment and their govt does not care what their people are doing. All that the companies here can do is shut down web pages, block phone numbers and limit what countries you are aloud to send money to (including spending money on a credit card)

  2. Seeing as you are in the mood to light fires once again Scott; this plant is not being 'sold, propagated and / or distributed'. But you and I have had this conversation in person; yet you saw the need to bring it up on a public forum. Both DOC and MAF have repeatedly emphasised their intention with this plant is to stop the spread and not to prosecute people that did purchase this plant or acquire this plant after the years and years that it was being sold in stores all over the country.

I know that we have had the conversation but you still fun to see if i get a bite. If MAF know about it then it is not a problem and it should not be an issue with it being on a public forum

  3. My girlfriend has a 3 foot cichlid tank in her apartment, but the body corp there is really good and also allows birds, the ones that I looked at however weren't so understanding. lol. 'Pets' is a term that depends on the people you take to - decorative center piece is what I'd call a tank, if it got me in an apartment with a tank.

209 is rubbish, my least favourite paper so far in my degree, however, doing 309 next semester so that could change quite soon. (shudder)

Be very careful because the Body Corp's (or your) insurance may not cover damage done if the tank breaks. If water is to go to floors below your apartment and cause damage you would be liable for the cost.

  4. The ones in blue are the best!!

I beg to differ on some of those.

It is best to look at all of them an see what the fish look like at the time. Often the ones in blue have a lot of fish that are not for sale (those not in blue do also from time to time)

  5. We have 2 machines. Water pump went on the first one after 6 years and the current one is going strong still (dryer is up to about 8 years) in that time we have been through a lot of flatmate and they have not managed to break one of them yet. We use them almost every day for a load. We never use the line so everything goes in the dryer.

The thing is to buy new and buy good quality. The cheapest is not normally the best

  6. I have my tanks in the garage. The garage is cool all year, not cold though, but still different from a warmly house, so I assume my heaters are on most of the time.

What could I do to keep the tank warm ? I have putting polys around the tank during the night, not sure if it works.

You can leave poly or other insulation on the back and sides all the time
