thanks Squirt I would of posted a pix but I don't have a place to upload like photobucket. I may of been a member since 2009 but forums r scary when u don't know what u r doing...... and there was a couple of members that were quick to point that out to me I have had help from Snookie (thanks again Snookie) he asked if I could send him a photo, he said it looks like a pearl Mystus catfish (Mystus castaneus ) Ira this cat fish is not a docile pleco... I noticed some of my fish seemed to b disappearing then I saw the big ugly thing in action.....it just came up under the fish and grabbed it, the fish didn't stand a chance I need to get a better pix of the beady eyed monster, its seems to b similar to the pearl Mystus catfish :dunno: ...I will try to look at this photobucket thingy and then u can all c him/her

I have a big catfish I want to sell, I dont know what sort it is...can u only post pix using a URL ?? I want help on pricing and what it is if some1 can help me plz

loaches are about 2 inches and the guppies are under 1/2 an inch

I have young guppies in a tank with 2 lohachata loaches....would the loaches eat them?? the guppies mayb hiding. i can not c as many as i put in there yesterday

do u have to do anything with new terracotta pots b4 u place them in a fish tank??...do others here use them 4 breeding caves?? mayb this should of been asked in the beginners corner, I placed it here as I am using the pots with my cichlids

We were not putting the Convicts in the same tank as the electric yellows or the red jewel cichlids We r not sure on what fish to house permanently in the big 6ft tank the Convicts r in there 4 now but as we set things up they mayb moved I will b playing it safe and asking lots of advice b4 I do anything thanks

In the past we have breed goldfish and still have several ponds and have always had a few fish in a tank and now we want to try something different.. We are looking forward to learning more about the cichlid family and we r setting up more tanks 2 pisces = 2 water babies sharing the same interest We live in the Whangarei area

is it safe to put young electric yellow cichlid with young red jewel cichlids, they r all about the same size I also have convicts. any advice on cichlids that might help me would b appreciated, I am new to cichlids
