    :bounce: I actually saw her laying the eggs...wow....I am so happy....Now what do I feed them and how many times a day? I have fed them brine shrimp this morning.

    Hi everyone Just wanted to say thank you for a very informative night and it was great to meet a lot of like minded fishy people. All the fish I got have settled in well so thanks heaps. See you next month if not on here.

    Can snails form bubbles like foam on the tank surface. I have closed down one of my tanks and have begun to clean out all the ornaments etc only to find a few snails making their appearance.

    Yes it will be my first meeting. Also was going to buy some neons on the weekend but should I just wait and see what's offered at the meeting and definately could do with some java moss. I have just adopted another male and female fighter have put the female in with my first female and male and the male is in an isolation tank in my big tank. Was trying to encourage breeding but not sure how long I should give them till i swap the males over.

    I have also heard of this happening but the culprit was a very clever angel fish. He would herd the guppies/platies to the corner of the tank that had a small hole in the glass lid in the evening and then in the morning a few dead fish were found on the carpet. Slowly more and more fish disappeared till the pyscho angel was moved to a different tank. Clever fish. Angel is now very happy in a new home with a girlfriend.

    Thanks for all the ideas. I did water testing today and all is as it should be. Also I cleaned the filter media last weekend but it was there before that anyway. It seems fine for now and the fish are happy so I'm not going to worry too much.

    The tanks are both 200litre with mainly angels in them. Have been feeding nutrifin flakes so might switch for a few days and see what happens.

    Yes I'll be there. Sounds great and would be nice to meet some more fishy people. I can't set up any more tanks till we move in october so am using the next month to plan and save.

    I have had this on both my tanks over the last 4-6 months. It's almost like oil but the fish seem to be doing fine. I have increased aeration on top with airstones etc but it's still there. Any ideas?
