  1. Hi I have just been cleaning my tank and have noticed lots of these tiny worms as I am vacuuming the gravel. What are they, where did they come from and will they do any harm? I guess they look just like tiny little earthworms, same sort of colour just a fraction of the size.
  2. Sounds like you need a bristlenose, they love cleaning up algae and have I got a deal for you! I have some babies to give away for free.. just let me know.
  3. Hi I have been keeping a 54 litre tropical tank for about a year now and I am thinking about moving house. So a couple of questions, how on earth do you move the fish and the tank etc... I also quite like the sound of kuhli loaches but do they need sand? I currently have gravel and it's not particularly fine. My tank at the moment is home to some danios, some tetras, black phantoms, a pair of bristlenose and one other algae eater that I forget the name of... oops. How would kuhli loaches go with these tank mates, too many bottom feeders? Would I need to switch to sand? I also grow live plants. Many thanks J
  4. Well you see Dixon, I'm a novice at this fish keeping thing and thought I would come onto this site for a bit of support and learning and to spread my luck around. My fish don't seem to know they are of differing species (and nor did I) and they happily keep each other company and breed. To the untrained eye (mine) they are the same, they simply have different coloured skin/scales. But it doesn't seem to bother them, in fact my visitors celebrate their diversity when viewing my tank. Hybrid, half caste call them what you like, the worlds a little brighter when the bristlenoses are about.
  5. Are you serious?? How can the babies be hybrids when the parents are both Simpsons...
