    yeah, that's true. but normally, there will be fish loss in shipping. say if shipping 100 fish, maybe 5 - 10 will be dead on arrival, and that's just 10% of the fish shipped. But if I ship 2 fish and one of them died, that's a 50% loss :roll:

    just googled them 8) firemouth looks very cute. but don't know where to buy them. never saw one at LFS or on "that" site.

    just sold my guppies and swords. wanna have some big fish with some characters. any suggestions please? considered discus, but I have to travel too often, and my Mrs swears that she's going to kill them when I'm not home :oops: so need some fish that can handle weekly water changes (not every 2 days). cheers,

    just went and saw Ron today. quite impressed with his fish and his passion in fish. got a test kit at Hollywood fish farm at discounted price. (they running a special at the moment, a kit including pH, NH4/NH3, NO2, GH/KH only cost $29). gave my water a full test just now. The last water change was 1 week ago. NH4/NH3 0, NO2 0, GH 60mg, KH < 10mg, NO3 20mg, pH 6.5 It looks like I'm ready for Discus?

    yeah, so true. I had my father-in-law to feed my fish for 3 weeks some time ago, he killed at least 3 of them. just some guppies, so it's not that heart-broken, but it's definitely going to be painful if it's discus.

    thanks, mate! thank you for the encouragement. I'm so into it now. but i need to get rid of my guppies and swords first though. can't wait! I may be away for one or two weeks overseas in a month time, and my Mrs just doesn't understand how fun the fish are. :roll: it looks like i'll have to start after coming back from overseas.
