  9. Hello I use to put a tense tied piece of panty on the artichoke. like these but with the "artichoke", it avoids baby shrimp being sucked by the filter. I`ll put a pic of one when i get the camera ;P Luck with these shrimps

  14. Hello I have Travancoricus too It`s really nice and funny fish. 100% freshwater. Mine eats red mosquito larvae, grindall, and small sniles. They dont brake the shell, they bite and bite their meat, until the snail is too weak, and can be sucked out of it. I`ve put in a different tank what i think is a couple... These one should be the male and those, maybe, a couple http://s196.photobucket.com/albums/aa22 ... en1561.flv Googled things when bought them few ago, maybe you like to take a look Youtube channel of someone who breeds them, a lot of interesting videos http://www.youtube.com/user/PXYG#p/a/24 ... 3jS3bwfO_Y Origin of Carinotetraodon travancoricus http://www.zwergkugelfisch.de/Origin.html Post in Indian forum about their biotope (I like native fish zones http://indianaquariumhobbyist.com/commu ... vancoricus Travancoricus text with pics and ideas to sex them http://www.thepufferforum.com/forum/lib ... rf-puffer/ They make it look easy... and a couple more http://www.wetwebmedia.com/FWSubWebI...ffwpuffaqs.htm http://badmanstropicalfish.com/profiles/profile93.html Sorry for my english & luck with them
  15. Hello, Now named Dario dario, name changed several times. It`s very small, 3cm, and usually don`t eats dry food. Only frozen or alive... better alone... or not with fast fish. Not always easy to make them eat. Male is red&blue and female close to white. I have them in a 25x25x25 planted cube, really nice to see fish, looking&acting like a miniature cichlid. If you have an small proper tank don`t leave them at the shop ;P Amazing fish

  19. Nice glosso I readed it has flowers when growing emersed... but never seen it with red leaves mine had all them dark green... do you use any fertilizer? http://www.aquaticplantcentral.com/foru ... .php?id=57
  20. Hello Add more light... I had a very similar tank with glosso, same size... and the diference betwen 17w and 37w was awesome... a carpet of dark green leaves growing sticked to the floor. I first used 1x17w 6400K starving light bulb and after added 1x20w 6400k light bulb 37w 6400k + CO2 in small glosso tank = bubble time I would not put fish in there... only snails and small shrimps... being alone shrimps don`t hide... A nice small fish to live in there should be boraras brigittae... easy to find in shops here... I don`t know in NZ ... Good luck
  21. Hello I like miniature fish, they can live with shrimps Those are Dario dario ... very small, so cichlidlike behavior, they don`t touch the plants Mine don`t eats dry food But I enjoy them a lot Boraras and microrasboras are very nice too... and eat dry
  22. Yes, snails are happier living with small shrimps than with fish. Living alone snails show a lot more their antennas I want to try them :C
