  1. They didn't make it after 2 dips within 10 hours. From what I observe, this doesn't happen often but I do have around 2-3 of them on weekly basis. I do think they are feed well (2 times a day) and I change water regularly (10% everyday) Maybe it is because they are over-populated....
  2. For the tank, I have 2 clown loaches, not sure if they can bear the 1.8kg salt attack
  3. Thank you, Stella. Just another quesiton.....how many grams is a tablespoon ? (lol: i dont cook that well....)
  4. Thanks Stella & Dave+Amy, For adding the salt, does that mean if I have a 300L tank, I will need to add 100 tsp (around 5ml) of salt ? For dipping the fish, how many times/often do I have to dip it ?
  5. Hi, I have found 2 guppies in my tank have rotten mouth and semi-rotten white tummy. As shown in the picture.... They don't seem to have white spots on their body, but this only happened on mouth and tummy (the bottom part). Mouth Tummy 1 Tummy 2
  6. Hi Cesarz, I always feed them squashed pallets. However....there are heaps of snails hiding in java moss....they all come out at night...... Could the snails be the issue ? How do I get rid of all these snails without harm the fish ...?
  7. I have extra 2 tanks, now I put thinner ones in one tank, possible-to-be-thin ones in another. My tank is around 120L, and I change 10L daily since 2 weeks ago.
  8. hi, I just went to Hollywood fish farm in NorthShore, Auckland. I planned to uy the malechite green but they told me if this only happen to female gups, it is more to the water quality problem but not the parasite issue. They also said it happens to adult female after they gave birth and they are pretty weak and could be weaker due to the damage of internal organ caused by the acidic water. I am getting those thinner fish out first to make sure it is not parasite first. If i found more males then I might just go get the malachite green.
  9. hi, They are females. their anal fins are like fans not sticks. I have females with larger tails and back fins and their bodies are white.
  10. twice per day, food consumed within 5 mins. but why only happens to female ones?
  11. Hi all, Recently I have found few of my adult guppies become thin and die after 1 to 2 weeks. Nearly 90% of them are females. I don\t see any white spot or reddish worm thingy at the anals. Any idea ? Currently I am adding salt and increase the temperature to 30C, not sure if it will help. I am also wondering how much sea salt should I add per Liter? http://www.ece.auckland.ac.nz/~wsun013/ ... guppy1.jpg http://www.ece.auckland.ac.nz/~wsun013/ ... guppy2.jpg
