Hi there ours laid eggs today on a big leaf. I have put in some methylene blue. HOw often do I need to put in the methylene blue? At what stage can I move the airstone closer and under the leaf?

What is the white thing that those 2 fish are under? Will I need to buy one if I breed ours?

I have 1 male siamese fighting fish or hes 3/4 crowntail to be precise. I have 4 female crowntails, 2 blue & red and 2 white and brown. Can I put all of them together in a tank of there own and start breeding them?

i have just acquired a male siamese fighting fish and have 4 females, at what stage can I put them together? Do I need to setup a separate tank for them? I have never breed cambodian crown tails or male siamese fighting fist before. I think the male is 3/4 crowntail. I have 2 blue females and 2 whitey/brown.

My male that created the big bubble nest is the same colour as yours.

My lovely male has been busy for several days making a lovely big bubble nest and this morning I find its gone, what happened to it? Can you have more than 1 male in the same tank? I have 3 males and the rest are females.

I have had a male gourami building a bubble nest for several days, and sadly this morning it looks likes it disappeared. Do I need to remove other male gouramis or can I have several in the same tank with the females? Did one of the gouramis eat the bubble nest?

Will it be safe to put the female gourami in with my angelfish and swordtails? Hope I see the mating in progress so I know which female produced the eggs.

I have decided to move the swordtails out so now theres just the guppies, small neons, small tetras, harlequins and the cribs.

I current have a tropical tank with guppies, neons, tetras, swordtails, harleqins, & crib all in the same tank. I would like to breed the guppies and the swordtails, do they need to be in there own separate tank? btw what temperature should I set the or these tanks at? Dianne

thanx for the photo how come my pair keep putting theirs on the backside of the chitz? Should I push it close so they cant get behind it?

Do I need to put any more methylene blue in each day or will the drop I put on him and the 2 drops I put into the tank be enough?

Can you possibly tell me what colour the eggs are once fertilised and if they change colour over the coming days?

I have a very pretty pair of marble angelfish. They have now successfully spawned 2 batches of eggs. The first time I panicked and removed the parents, not realising you need methylene blue, and an airstone, the eggs got a fungi on and all died. The second time I left the parents in there, they got to the blowing and fanning stage of the eggs and sadly next day they ate them all. I am wanting to breed angelfish so what am I doing wrong?, I did inadvertently turn the tank light off overnight so wondering if that was why they ate the eggs. BTW what colour are the fertilised eggs meant to be, as on day 2 they were a greyishy brown colour. Yes they are male and female.

How long do I leave the gourami in that tank? I got more methylene blue on my hands and fingers but got some right on the spot. Thank you Di

We have a male gourami that has a white fluffy thing on its side, it looks like cotton wool what do I do to treat him?

Can you tell me what colour the newly fertilised eggs should be? Ours went a greyish brown colour? What should they be?
