which kelvin rating is better for growing plants? 6500k or 10000k would I have alot of algae growth if I use 10k? would the colour of fish in the tank look gaudy?

Bought some exotic plants from TM, received the plants in poor condition had lot of hair algae. the size of the plants was small very small. paid professional price for professional plants. I think the guy better put up a photo of real thing, rather then the photo from the net.

thanks alot for all the infor guys should I remove the female as well? would female eat her own baby for dinner? should I remove the male after the baby are free swimming?

The male guarding clutch of 10-15 eggs, what should I do now?? I've divided the tank so they have got their private place. should I take the eggs out? or just let the parents take care of the little ones? any suggestion would be very helpful.
