i have some in my big tank in the fishroom
easier than most big SA and very nice fish with interesting breeding patterns
eat anything
good fish to keep
would thing 300 woudl be a bit small in long run but above post is right re get a group and grow out
breed at a small size too... maybe 3 inches

or the wild caught kribs which seem to have all been crossed or disapeared
or the white calvus
the chocolate cichlids dont seem to popular now either
or the Nannacara anomala or Nannacara aurocephala
few of the Aluanocara seem to have dropped off and the Haps Like the Browns and the Burtoni

um er not my area but can I ask if you fill the overflow box with bio media...balls...porret foam...filter wool...will it not porvide a prefilter and eliminate the water fall effect?
