  1. I am treating my commuity tank for flukes and have used 26mls per 100 litres of water - I have adtape

I have done one dose and 24 hours done a water change

what should I do to continue with the treatment correctly?

is the prazi going to be harmful to the clown loaches?

  2. my big white diamond is at the back of the tank pointing upwards and breathing heavily, his gills are not clamped but the whole head looks inflamed and his breathing is laboured, he went from perfectly fine to this overnight - i have done a small water change and checked the parameters this morning all looks fine apart from notrates which were at 40ppm - any ideas???

  3. I have had three discus happily living in an aqua one 980 - unfortunately one died a few weeks back and I replaced him a week later. Now I am having agression issues my blue diamond will not let the new fish out of the corner and chases him, it has been two days now and the new guy is not getting food....any ideas?

  4. I have an aqua one 980 that has been established for sometime and a seramic ph/co2 controller - what I am noting is that the PH keeps on dropping to 6.5 and I have it set at 7 therefore because the PH is dropping all the time the CO2 does not come on enough..any suggestions for keeping the ph up without causing drastic changes?

  5. water paramters all OK nitrite/nitrate and ammonia all zero phosphates are a little high though

in my tank are three discus, 3 clown loaches and an albino bristlenose all looking OK

the white discus is fine during the day but at nights swims sideways and then hides at the bottom of the tank behind the driftwood - might be a bullying issue?

can't see any clamping of gills or laboured breathing

  6. My plants with broad leaves are getting annihilated by my albino bristlenose and gold nugget, what are some good plants that grow well and are less likely to succumb to this problem - i am running CO2, usingSera day srops and florena on a weekly basis

  7. did you get rid of it? my phosphates were out of whack when I got my outbreak so I added some phosvec to the filter to bring my readings down, this can happen when you feed in live food. I got hold of some eryo... to clear it up and it took around 3 days but its gone and didn't come back it didn't hurt the fish either I was really worried about my gold spot ... you just need to siphon it all up as it dies so your filter dosen't get overwhelmed

  8. HELP I have a green fluffy algae on my drift wood looks a little like grass but kind of growing in clumps, I alos notice there is some light brown fluffy stuff on the top of my plant leaves - I am using CO2 and dosing with ferts

  9. I would go with prazi as its possible its gill flukes - kind of like fleas which drive the fish crazy they start darting about - mine used to do full 360's in the tank and appear really agitated is one of the gills clamped down at all? can you notice any differences in the breathing at all?

  10. I have a gold spot and albino - they are quite little at the moment and I noticed they are not that interested in the algae pellets, since the glass is now 100% clean any ideas as to what may be a treat for them?

  11. I have what I thought was a standard bristlenose and I had not seen it out and about for around a month, I discovered it underneath a large rock and it did not appear to be alive..... I kept checking on it for a fortnight and then viola last night it was out and about in the tank and had grown absolutely massive - is this normal when they get a bit bigger??

  12. I have just setup a CO2 system complete with a CO2 controller and are going to start planting out the tank, i know plants needs ferts to thrive as well, any suggestions on the better options, I want to stay clear of daltons aquatic mix as I hear it can make the water cloudy
