Kia Ora Everyone,
My name is Frances and I live in Rotorua. I have had fish for hmmm about 6 years now started with tropical got tired of them and went to goldfish then back to tropical :-? then goldfish then tropical hehehehehe I have been toying with the idea of trying to breed guppies for the last couple of years but didnt really know how or If I could. I know they are easy to breed but I didnt just want mixed lucky dip fish I wanted quality fish that i knew were going to be a certain colour when they came out. Anyway before Christmas I got in contact with the local pet store and asked them if they could put me onto any guppy breeders and they pointed me in the direction of Peter. I rang him and went to his house to see what he had and what would be involved, he is just a fountain of knowledge that guy and helped me to decide that I would give it a go. I went away and set up 3 tanks and then got busy and never went back to him until January. He set me up with some fish to begin with which I very much appreciated. I now have my display tank and 3 smaller tanks. Now that I have the fish here and one lot have had babies I know I need more tanks My partner works at th hospital so I have notices on the noticeboard there asking for any old fish tanks etc. I actually got a bite yesterday and have to see a lady, she has tanks in her garage so thats cool. Anyway I cant wait to get more fish and to get different colours to work with. my favourite colour is purple and so of course I want to breed purple fish eventually. I cant wait. Well there you have it thats me in a nutshell and as you see I have burbled on.. I love the stuff on this site and enjoy reading it. Thankyou you guys for all your advice and help that you give to us newbies to the guppy world.
Take Care,
Frances
