The 'cups' with the green 'seeds inside are the telltale indication that you have a terrestial liverwort. When a rain drop is caught by the cup it splashes out taking the spores with it.

The wider 'leaves' on the LHS of the last photo make me think it might be a 'fern' or 'filmy fern', not quite a moss from a botanical sense.

Is there ever any likelihood that those of us who were in UK during mad cow disease

I'm in the same boat. I vaguely remember one of the victims had been a vegetarian for about 20 yrs so I expect we won'y be able to give for at least another 5 yrs. Then if they do decide to allow us, it may only be for certain blood components.

Elvis has lived in the pond his entire life, but we didn't see him for the first couple of years. We found him again as a foot long eel when the pond got a long overdue makeover. We were very surprised to say the least.

The Inanga have always adapted really well to being handfed, and one of the bullys is good as well. But Elvis just decided one day to start coming out for hand feeding, I guess he got to the size where he needed the extra food.

This is the first time we've taken photos and vids of the pond because we've recently got an underwater camera, mainly for diving, but now I see the possibilities for my tanks as well.

The vids were taken in the pond with an underwater camera. The ponds only 1000L so evetually we'll either need a bigger pond or another big tank. The tank will have to go in the garage though, cause the wife won't let me have any more tanks in the house.

Good on ya for donating, keep a count of how many times you donate, then when you're really really old you can think about the dozens and dozens of lives you save.

Unfortunately I can't give blood any more because I lived in the UK around the Mad Cow Disease time. I really miss it, it always felt nice knowing I was helping strangers.

I lived in Basingstoke for a year and a half on one of my O.E.s. The locals called it Donut City because of all the roundabouts, they had so many that they had to give them all street names so that people would know where they were. But in Farnham they had a roundabout that was so big they had a pub with a carpark in the middle, it was called the 'Sheperd and Flock'.

The other rule change is

"At an uncontrolled T-intersection, all traffic from a terminating road (bottom of the T) will have to give way to all traffic on a continuing road (top of the T)."

Sorryt but this doesn't make any sense in regards to the new rule. What about roundabouts and when you turn left into a street? in those cases you would be hit on the driver side but you should still give way.
