  1. Well the electric yellow didnt make it through the night, we got the metro stuff from the vet this mornin, but must have been to late cause the ice blue died not long ago.

All of the other fish seem fine so hopefull no more get sick. Thanks for everyones help!

If anyone has an ice blue female for sale or have young ice blues let us know. Our male ice blue keeps harrasing the aurora female so we need to get him a mate asap!

  2. Yea we stuck them in a tank by themselves and put some empson salt in earlier today when we put the ice blue out there. I hope she makes it we just sold our extra female ice blue last week! and the electric yellow is our only female sofar that will breed!

Ill have to go to the vet in the morning and get some medicine, thanks for your help

  3. I dont erally want to stress them out more with camera flashes. They both look like they normally do the ice blue is just a bit darker than normal. Neither of them have abdominal swelling. The electric yellow is just slow moving and hanging out near the bottom and hiding. the ice blue lies on the bottom and then will swim a bit but she is a bit wobbly. and they both seem to be breathing alot faster than normal

I think it probably is bloat they seem to have the symptoms, the ice blue in particular. I have no idea why these two have got it, i hope no more do

  4. our ice blue female has not been eating for the last few days or so, and has been very queit not swimming much and hiding, we took her out and put her in a tank by herself, and I have just found her lying on the bottom, still breathing but it is not looking good.

it doesnt look like she has any fight wounds and all our other fish seem fine.

Does any one have any ideas what is wrong with her or what we could possibly do??

  5. We watched our ice blues breeding the other night which was really cool. The male and female were going round and round in circles and every now in then she would let 5 or so eggs out and quickly turn around and grab them, the male managed to eat a couple of them and so did an electric yellow!

Was amazing though I didnt think we would actually catch them doing it.

  6. What is the best way to increase the water hardness in an african tank. We have just realised the water hardness is way to low in our tank so have added limestone rocks. Will these be sufficient, or what else could we use.

    Cheers
