Agree with WOK, feed a little at a time (4-6 times a day) and plenty of waterchange. Keep an eye out for the nasty fluke. It can wipe out your entire batch of babies. HTH

Hi, to get the head growth on the oranda, the best food will be daphnia and food that are high in protein content or you can make your own frozen food ( greenpea, fresh prawns, spinach, high protein pellets, spirulina powder, blend it all with a bit of water and bind it with gelatin. Let it cool and freeze it pack in thin slices so you can break it to feed.) HTH.

Hi, new to the forum and another one from nth shore. Have been a slave of the KING OF THE AQUARIUM for almost 30 years. lol. Yes I breed Discus.
Have about 50 tanks all discus. Some of the strains I have are Red Melon, Turks, Snakeskin, leopard, blue daimond, snow white, checkerboard, marlboro red, red/white, blue/white,golden, golden leopard snakeskin, rosered,san merah, .......

Are you sure your discus is 6 month old and laying eggs ? If so something is wrong somewhere. A runt perhap? JMHO.
As for the white spot /patch, I would say it's water problem. Try doing daily water changes. HTH.
