wasp
Must be a great feeling watching that happen. Maybe too early to say, but do you think the luminarcs have had a positive effect on growth, none at all, or negative?
JoeBlog
Must be the barebottom!

JoeBlog
That efflo in the back of the 5th picture is amazing. It has really started to color up and getting good growth. I'd be moving that baby to the front as a feature piece!
chimera
how do you find it having a stream blasting directly at the front of the tank? does it disperse water sideways well enough? also, didnt you buy a new camera? are the before/after shots from the same camera or different? I was actually just thinking/wondering the same thing on both points.

puttputt
Wasp, my corals are colouring up since the light change, not just different light bulb colour, but the corals are changing for the better. Joeblog, yep its a nice one - it's growing real fast, and when it hits a rock it encrusts and shoots several new branches off, here is is in Feb 06 Chimera, 1st photos taken with the olympus from work, todays taken with my new panasonic. The 2 controlled stream 6100s are on the cnr over flows facing 45 degrees from back. that one in the centre is uncontrolled and blasts into the front glass and spreads nicely. Whole 3 plus overflows create a very nice chaotic current.
puttputt
The camera is not the reason for the colour change, the tank really has improved that much. Pretty happy with the way it's going. Look at the coraline growth as well.

I've wanted one of those for AGES!! I think they are amazingly cool when they get large and have a bright rim.
jetskisteve
Only 3 came in
puttputt
lucky enough to get one real nice, purple growing edge, even comes with a tiny acro crab. Some good growth in those pics, didn't notice until you mentioned it.
puttputt
JoeBlog, good advise, moved the plating acro to the front where the orange monti was, gives in more room to grow - it was already growing up the glass. Take a photo later to show.
puttputt
the plate acro taking center stage and a better one of the birdsnest - slowly getting the hang of this camera
JoeBlog
Nice!! A placement that the Efflo deserves. When that thing gets bigger, which shouldn't be long at this rate, I am definitely in line for a frag!

JoeBlog
not sure how you'd frag it?? :-? Don't worry, I know how and of course am more than willing to share the information. There were heaps of threads on fragging this type of coral on RC a few months back. When it gets ready, I will find the post for you.
