bobbytee
Hi i have two discus which i saved from a shop,They were extremally dark and stressed out and thankfully have settled down well in my south american tank and their colours have come out lovely.(Some shops shouldnt be aloud to sell fish)Also i have 2 jags cichlids in their own 75 gallon tank which i know they need,1 is 7 inches the other is 6 inches both look the same but apparently they were showing signs of breeding. These from what i know will grow alot larger but i couldnt leave them in the dramatically overstocked tank they were in.My problem with the jags is how do i sex them and i have pics if you wanna see them. The discus basically just want to know what they are called i think 1 is a marlboro red??????? (lol) i have pics of these too.My other problem is how the heck you put them on here.I can e.mail you a pic no problem. Please help and thanks very much Bob

sharn
at 7" those jags are about half grown, males generally max out around 45-50cm with females 40 or so i think. males are often alot more defined in colour while females are a bit more spotty. a google will be able to get you pics of both sexs. if they havent killed each other yet chances are you dont have two males, perhaps two females? its not unknown for females to pair up and try and make babies  but if you can post some pics or even just a link to a photobucket picture someone should be able to help ya!
