TM
Has anyone had any success with worming their fish orally? I have a trigger that I want to worm, was thinking of using a cat wormer (100% Praziquantel). Mainly because it won’t last long in the water (up to 1.5hrs half life). Any other ideas??? Thanks
dogmatix
I use the 10kg dog drontal tabs, crushed in 20l of aquarium water place fish in bucket for 60mins stirring halfway, net fish back into tank and there done. HTH Ben

TM
Would the cat ones be ok? They have Praziquantel 20mg, Pyrantel Embonate230mg The only difference would be a higher mg per tab and they also have Febantel ?
lduncan
I've used drontal (the puppy version) on a large (12"+) female crosshatch trigger. Don't really know if it did anything one way or the other. It died a couple of weeks later. Still eating well and looked fat and healthy. I think it's good to feed the fish up on nori, and cut down on brine and mysis for a bit, I think it can flush their gut out with all that plant matter.
