Hi Tim, Layton

The plastics place is Award plastics on (wordsworth street i think). The glue that we used to use at work was Quickbond and it comes in several different grades and has a cross referance to Weldon. From memory it was quite cheep about $17 for 250mls. We used to ues it for glueing Acrylic pipe to pvc for lage sight glasses 250mm NB pipe at 20meters head so it will hold up for most things in a tank.

Dave.

I use Award Plastis as well but only for cement I get my acrylic elseware due to cost.

I have a bottle of Quick-Bond 10 which is a thickend cement in front of me that has a chart on it.

It show that it is suitable for use to join acrylic to PVC.

Are you doing your own cutting. if so do not overheat the acrylic or it will craze as the cement sets.

These are links from Reef Centrals DIY page that you may find helpfull.
