BETTAS - Can juvies go in a tank with a female?

Hey guys - quick note for all the help with my ealier post (HELP! Worried about my siamese fighting fish!!!) - Enzo is looking fab still, his fins and tail are gradually getting better and better, so thanks again for your prompt responses.

The matter at hand: I have six juvenile fighters that i bought from a breeder a few weeks ago, 5 are about 1.5-2cm long and one is half that size. They're from the same clutch, and are staying together til they can be sexed.

Tomorrow morning i'm getting my first adult female - i know my boy would eat the juvies, and he's being kept separate from other fish for a while anyway, until i know he's all healthy again, so she can't go with him, so would a female be alright in the same tank as the little guys til they grow up?
