shiuh
on first day i got these fish last week, i put 1 male and 4 females together and got 18 eggs in the mop. now the babies have hatched but not free swimming yet. one thing i cant figure out is they have stopped spawning after the first spawn. i checked my mop everyday and no eggs. are they not like lineatus which you can pretty much get eggs everyday constantly? Alan
No Shiuh, these killies behave more like cichlids, even at times using the defense mechanism. Congratulations on the successful breeding of them. Warning Don't attempt to feed them till they are free swimming, then use BBS. Alan
Then Grasshopper, you have more to learn about killies. Cover them. They are possibly the best jumpers from aquariums around. Moral of Story. We learn from our experiences. Alan

Alan
and that means tite lids. DON'T leave any gaps. A garden-hose cut lengthwise covers a lot. The rest of the awkward ones, use filter floss. Alan
