jobon Posted September 5, 2005 Report Share Posted September 5, 2005 Hi have brought a tank that has clouding at the top. Dosnt look like its biten into the glass like a sand wash look. Have tried vinger but does not work . have had the tank out side an its slowly lesoning but where struts are remains the same. Pegasus Posted September 5, 2005 Report Share Posted September 5, 2005 Hi Jobon, If the tank is "unfilled" at this point, you could try Toothpaste.. or Baking Soda sometimes works. Something a bit more severe would be Jif, or an ammonia based product, but make sure all traces are removed before you fill the tank. Pies Posted September 5, 2005 Report Share Posted September 5, 2005 Easy. Get some hot water, mix it with some dish washer powder (caustic soda). Note: Wear rubber gloves because it will burn. Brush it on (when hot). Leave it for a bit (minute or 2). Use a scraper (e.g. razor blade) and scrape it of. Wipe down and repeat. You will have sparkling glass within minutes.
