MRSkz
I have a lovely 3 foot tank with 9 guppies and 1 B/N. I've been looking and looking at other fish to put with them, after the tank has matured more of cource. The tank has only live plants, aquarium "potting soil" under it's aproximately 3cm of gravel (in the front), and 2 reasonable sized pieces of drift wood. The cichlids really appeal to me but I don't want anything that'll be easily killed, desimate my plants, gravel or other fish. I do intend to try and get some long finned danios and some neon/cardnal tetras. Thoughts, suggestions, advice all welcome.

heather
Why not some Bolivian Rams. They dont bother the other fish much and dont hassle the plants. They like moving sand around but cant move gravel as much. And the Bolivians are easier than their smaller cousins the German Blues. Give them a terracotta pot/cave and a big flat stone and they will be happy as. Recomend two, 1 male and 1 female.
livebearer_breeder
Why are bolivians easier? If by German Rams, your Refering to Blue Ram, the i would have to disagree, Blue ram are far more colourful and beautiful than Bolivians and are as you say smaller, I've keeped bolivians and found them alot more agressive than the Blue Ram which i know keep in my Community tank. heather
Supposedly Bolivians arn't quite as fussy about the water conditions. I agree about the colours, the Blue's are much prettier.
