Deraulle
Hi there, I'm looking at upgrading my Juwel Rio 180 very soon and was wondering if any of you have any recommendations or advice on larger sized tanks. I'm currently running an Eheim Profesionnel 3 external filter so something around the 200-350L mark would be ideal because then I wouldnt have to invest in another one of those babies Originally I was thinking of going up to either the Rio 240 or 300L but I've seen the SunSun and Jebo arowana tanks listed on trademe and I quite like the look of them however I have had zero experience with them. Ideally I'm after a rectangular tank that can be purchased as a tank & stand set. Current stocking list: 1x Delhezi Bichir (Currently around 10cm) 4x Angelfish (2x Marble Veiltail, 1x Pearlscale, 1x Koi - All juvenile) 1x Upside Down Catfish (Approx. 6cm) & Wanting to possibly add in future: 1x Raphael Catfish 1x Senegal Bichir I'll possibly rehome the Upside Down Catfish as he'll knowingly become an expensive snack sooner or later. Any opinions and advice will be appreciated Thanks
David R
I'm a fan of glass tanks over those off-the-shelf type units. If you're in or near Auckland you can't beat Greg/Tanks2u for quality and price. They you can get it built to whatever size/shape you want that best suits your needs. With your catfish and bichirs you'd be better off with a wider tank rather than a tall narrow one as most of those 'brand name' units are.
