Snowman
Yes thats the one, i've got some on Trade Me and had someone ask whether they would cross breed, i havent heard of it before but wondered if it was possible, i wouldn't think so but then swordtails change sex so anything is possible LOL
CatBrat
Well they are both for the same genus (Ancistrus), so it would be possible, but I don't recommend cross breeding fish together. We have a hard enough time keeping track of all the species we have, especially pleco's, and in my opinion its just like wanting to play God. Cheers, CatBrat. HummingBird
It's not really playing god if they do it themselves. "But" you may argue, "They might never meet in nature"- it's still no more playing god than keeping fish at all is. (eg. a community tank with Angels and Siamese fighters, they would never meet in nature)
CatBrat
Point taken, but keeping fish together is diffrent from creating new species that would not naturally occur. Just my 2 cents worth. Cheers, CatBrat.
Snowman
Cheers for the replies, i wont be crossing but its interesting to know its possible, as i understand it thats how we have so many different types of the same species in some cases.
