Help with setting up an aqua scape fr my cichlids

Hello all

I am in whangarei and I have Africans and was wondering if any one has any tips for building a scape for the fish to hide and play. What works best what stones what not to do or even better maybe come around and help me design and arrange the stones/ coral because at the moment my tank is nothing flash and I think I need to make some more caves now that my fish are maturing any help would e much appreciated.

hey chris,

what is the stock list for this tank and what are the dimensions? can u post a pic of it? Mbuna need lotsa rock, haps like open water and peacocks a bit of both so will help if we know what you have

I'll probably have a bunch of flat schist-type rocks to get rid of in the not-too-distant future if you're interested. But as nudge said, how big is your tank?

Okay the fish I have are some peacocks that are still small just started to colour some libidochromis 2 kinds rustys and about 25 fry which are all pretty much an inch or two now nort really fry any more. All fish are still fairly small

So what are the dimensions of the tank and how many fish in total, can ya post up some pics of your setup so we can give some advice

i use crushed marble as a substrate and river stones to create piles which gives them hiding places and areas to create territories.
